The Cross River State government has launched an initiative aimed at enhancing the safety and security of commercial transportation operators. The initiative, with primary focus on dispatch riders is  championed by the Commercial Transportation Regulatory Agency (CTRA), with the provision of branded crash helmets designed to promote both road safety and the state's vibrant tourism.

The helmets adorned with the state's logo and tourism slogans, aim to not only safeguard the lives of  riders but also project them as ambassadors for the state's rich cultural and natural heritage.

Chairman of the agency,, Comr. Efa Nyong, in his remark during the launch, emphasized the significance of the initiative, while maintaining that safety is crucial for the survival of the operators and their businesses. He urged Cross Riverians, particularly those in the commercial transport sector to key into the initiative as it aligns completely with Senator Prince Bassey Otu's vision for a safer and more prosperous Cross River State.

" We want our dispatch riders to be visible and safe as well as project our beautiful state." He said.

Comr. Nyong encouraged all dispatch riders operating within the state to obtain their branded helmets as part of this vital safety initiative, reiterating the government's commitment towards safeguarding the lives of the people while simultaneously promoting the tourism potential of the state.
