  Cross River state governor, Sir Ben Ayade has expressed shock and sadness over the death of the state Commissioner of Police, Abudukadir Jimoh, describing his passing as a great loss to the state, country and the police force. Ayade in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Christian Ita, described Jimoh as "a brave and courageous officer who was a central figure in the fight against kidnapping and other crimes in the state."   Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked a home in Benue State and killed a layer and his pregnant wife. According to the report made available, the incident happened at Agboughul area. C/River Gov't optimistic on achieving Sustainable Development Goals, says Dr Asibong   The Cross River Government has expressed its readiness in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 in the state. Dr Inyang Asibong, Commissioner, Ministry of International Development Cooperation, gave the assurance during a sensitisation workshop organised by her ministry for Policy Heads and Legislators on the implementation of the SDGs.
