Reps Committee On Public Petitions Moves To Address Electricity issues and Combat Extortion, Fixes Date For On-Site Visit to Mbaise Communities The House Committee on Public Petitions, under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba has scheduled an onsite visit to Imo State to address the issues concerning the total blackout, extortion, and neglect in Mbaise District by the officials of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company and two others. The petition, filed by M. C. Chambers against EEDC, TCN, and NERC, emphasized the challenges faced by the residents of Mbaise due to the lack of electricity supply and unfair billing practices, calling for the completion of the Transmission Station in Aboh Mbaise and Umueleagwa Onitcha to improve electricity supply in the area.
