However, it is essential to distinguish between constructive feedback and a targeted campaign of disparagement. Regrettably, the latter seems to have taken center stage in the narrative surrounding Senator Eteng Jonas. While part of me empathized with the dissenting voices and even penned a critique of his governance mid-last year, I have since evolved from a critic to a keen observer, witnessing firstha...

Senator Eteng Jonah Williams clears medical bills

Senator Eteng Jonah Williams clears medical bills Over the Easter weekend, I had the privilege of visiting hospitals across Cross River Central; Holy Trinity Joint Hospital in Ikom, Eja Memorial Hospital in Itigidi, and the General Hospitals in Ugep and Obubra. During these visits, I cleared the medical bills of several patients, including newborns and those recovering from critical procedures, who had been discharged but couldn’t afford to go home. Seeing them reunited with their families reminded me of the true message of Easter sacrifice, compassion, and hope. This gesture is a small way of sharing Christ’s love, and I remain committed to doing more for the wellbeing of our people. I also took time to inspect the facilities and assured the hospital management of my plans to support and improve healthcare across our district. Let’s carry the spirit of kindness with us in our communities Senator Eteng Jonah Williams Cross River Central Senatorial District
