CRSG FLAGS-OFF DISTRIBUTION OF AGRICULTURAL INPUTS TO IFAD LIFE-ND PROJECT INCUBATEES . By Blessing Enagu Cross River State Government in collaboration with the Federal Government of Nigeria, Niger Delta Development Commission, International Fund for Agricultural Development and Livelihood Improvement Family Enterprises for Niger Delta (IFAD LIFE -ND) has distributed agricultural start-up inputs to the 4th batch of Incubatees of the State IFAD LIFE-ND Project. The Incubatees, mainly Cross River youths and women, were trained across nine enterprise interest areas in line with the project's objectives of enhancing income, food security and job creation for rural youths and women through sustainable agribusiness initiatives.   Nigerian Largest Youth Group to Honour UNICAL VC as Life Matron The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Banku Obi has been nominated for a prestigious Award as the Life Matron of the Youth Council of Nigeria. This was contained in a letter dated 11th December, 2023 and signed by the state Chairman of the Council, Comr. Dan Obo Jnr.  According to the letter, the Council avouch that Prof. Obi's selfless service to humanity, contribution to nation-building and Youth Development earns her the award of the Life Matron to the Youth Council in Cross River State.  It is worth noting that the National Youth Council of Nigeria(NYCN) is the umbrella youth body in Nigeria with the mission to sensitize, organize, and coordinate activities of young people in Nigeria.  Accepting the nomination, the multi-award-winning Vice-Chancellor thanked the youth body for finding her worthy to be nominated for such a prestigious award while assuring that she will keep prioritizing

Bene Obo Isamoh Community In Biase LGA Visits The Commissioner For Humanitarian Affairs And Poverty Alleviation   The village head of Bene Obo Isamoh in the Umon community of Biase Local Government Area of Cross River State, HRH. Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba Attends Thanksgiving Service In Honor Of Benedeth Nneoma Orisaeke  Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, the member representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency, attended a Thanksgiving Mass to express gratitude to God for the successful burial ceremony of Benedeth Nneoma Orisaeke.  The event took place at St. Peters De Apostle Catholic Church at 4/Corners, Ikom, Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State. The Parish Administrator, Very Rev. Fr. Benedict Mose, delivered an uplifting sermon based on the biblical reference from the book of 2 Chronicles 7:4.
