Sports Minister Sets up Urgent Meeting with Club Owners, Referees Before Commencement of NPFL As matters continue to arise from the snub of Nigerian match officials for AFCON 2023 duties, the Honourable Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh has called for an urgent engagement with the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) club owners and referees. C'River Govt Rehabilitates Former Athlete, Ironbar Bassey The Cross River State government through its Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs in collaboration with the 10th State House of Assembly, has rehabilitated a former athlete, Bassey Etim Ironbar. Ironbar, a 1981 Nigerian Sports Festival Gold medalist, was said to have been living in extreme poverty in the streets of Lagos before he was discovered by the team on 8th September.
