"I am filled with gratitude to God for the just and fair decision made by the Election Petition Tribunal, which ruled in our favor today at the High Court complex, Mary Slessor Road, Calabar. I want to specially thank God for this victory as well as commend the judiciary for their tireless effort, patience, and careful supervision of this matter to ensure that justice was delivered to us without prejudice.
Today's victory would not have been possible without the unwavering support of former governor of our beloved state, H.E. Sen. (Prof) Ben Ayade, the incumbent governor, H.E. Sen. (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, and of course, the good people of Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency who found me and our party, the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), worthy of their support, and for overwhelmingly voting for us in the election. I appreciate each and every one of you for showing faith and unwavering support to this crusade for true representation, inspiring tremendous, robust, and admirable development in Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency."
The victory is a significant achievement for the APC, the federal constituency, and the state. The ruling party will likely use this win to solidify its position and garner more support in future elections.
