 Cross River People's Forum, a pan Cross River socio-cultural organization formed to advance the welfare Cross Riverians the world over has released names of people constituting national Executive council of the organization.  The names are drawn from across the three senatorial districts of the state which include prominent people from all works of life. Eriacy Confidence  Eriacy is a word derived from two Yala/Idoma words, thus: 'eria' meaning idea, opinion or thought or intention  and 'si(cy)' meaning good. Therefore Eriacy can be literarily translated to mean a 'good idea' or 'idea is good' ' good opinion or thought or intention' The name was invented in the early 2000s along other Yala/Idoma names such Fepsi, Chamsy, Enecy, Twossy Etc by Eriacy confidence Oba who was formally known as Oguda Oba Ndoma and later Confidence Oba Ndoma. Breaking: Ahmed Lawan defeats Ndume, becomes President of the 9th Senate

By Eriacy Confidence  Sen. Ahmed  Lawan, representing Yobe North  has emerged President of the 9th senate after defeating his rival of the same party Sen .Ndume with over  79 votes. Senator Ahmed Lawan will take over from Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki of the People's Democratic Party who failed to secure a return to the upper chamber of the National Assembly.

Breaking: Gunmen killed over 43 in Sokoto, injured several others

Eriacy Confidence Oba Gunmen opened fire on a village in Sokoto indiscriminately  killing over 43 and leaving several others injured. "They opened fire on the village indiscriminately," Abdullahi Dantani, from the village of Satiru where 18 people were murdered, told AFP news agency. In Sokoto state's Rabah district, gunmen rode into four villages - Rukunni, Tsage, Giire and Kalfu - killing 25 people. "Several domestic animals were rustled by the attackers," Ibrahim Kaoje, Sokoto state's top police officer, told AFP. Four people were arrested in connection to those attacks, Kaoje said. In separate attacks in Satiru village, in Sokoto's Isa district, the raiders shot 18 people, and then stole animals. "We lost 18 people in the raid by the gunmen, who came into the village on motorcycles," said Satiru village resident Umeh Na-Ta'ala.
