 Jerry Achigbe Sponsors Yala New Yam Festival's Football Tournament, Donates N300,000 A young philanthropist and former House of Assembly Aspirant for Obubra I State Constituency, Prince Jerry Achigbe, has sponsored this year's Yala New Yam Festival's football tournament. The event, which took place from August 15th to 30th at the Christ the Kings Primary School field in Yala-Obubra, featured eight teams and was aimed at promoting unity and love and discovering talents in the community.  Presenting cash prizes to the winners and runner-ups and all the participating teams, Achigbe expressed joy in the success of the tournament, attributing it to the support and cooperation from various teams. Odey Ndoma Foundation Provides Free Medical Services to Ikom Residents The Odey Ndoma Foundation has provided free medical services to residents of Yala Nkum Ward in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State. The two-day medical outreach, which commenced on August 28, 2024 and concluded  on the 29  of the same month at the Yala Nkum Health Center, attracted a large number of men and women from the various villages comprising the clan, including neighboring wards of Nde, Ikom Urban and Ofutop,to thronged the venue to  receive free treatment. The Director-General of the foundation, Elder Dr. Ndoma Odey, remarked during the flag-off ceremony, that the medical outreach was part of the foundation's efforts to give back to society.
