The Digital Governor of Cross River State, Sen Prof Ben Ayade admonishes the people of Cross River State and her residents to be vigilant in what they consume. This was contained in a speech delivered by the Director General of the Cross River State Consumer Protection Agency, Prince Charles Ushie as part of activities to Mark the 2022 Consumer Rights Day celebrations,  The Cross River Consumer Protection Agency embarked on a sensitization tour round the streets and markets of Ikom Local Government Area to educate the people on their rights as consumers. The Director General while addressing the people of Ikom unveiled the theme of the year as "Fair Digital Finance" and said the agency has been tremendously working hard to protect consumers from fake, hazardous, expired and unwholesome goods and services.
