JSS 3 Student Knocked Down On His Way Back From Exams By Illegal Task Force And Cab Driver A young boy said to be a JSS 3 student sustained life-threatening injuries after he was allegedly knocked down by some disbanded members of Rivers Taskforce while trying to wrest control of the steering wheel following an argument with a cab driver in Rivers State. It was gathered that the incident happened on Wednesday afternoon, September 9, at Ozuoba in Obi/Akpor Local Government Area of the state. The boy was rushed to the nearest hospital while an angry mob succeeded in arresting one of the fake task force members and handed him over to Ozuoba Police Station. Narrating how the incident happened, the victim's teacher, Goldy Ude, said that the boy was returning from a WAEC French exam when the vehicle knocked him down.  Tragedy, As Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Loses First Son, Jide Former Lagos State Governor and national leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is bereaved. He lost his first son, Babajide to the cold hands of death. It was gathered that Jide, as he was fondly called, died after a brief illness, in the wee hours of today. Among all of Asiwaju Tinubu’s children, Jide was the only one who shared an uncanny resemblance with him. Numerous messages of sympathy have been flooding in since the tragic event occurred. Jide Tinubu has since been buried in Lagos. He is survived by two children. May his gentle soul rest in peace, amen.i

BREAKING: Ondo Residents On The Run As  Fire guts Govt. office in Akure The head office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Akure, Ondo State, capital was gutted by fire Thursday evening. According to the information provided on the verified Facebook account of the commission, the fire broke out at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. This development is coming exactly a month to the governorship election in the state. Coneri Magazine gathered that inferno gutted the container housing smart card readers. The spokesperson of the commission, Festus Okoye, who is in Ondo State, confirmed the development. He disclosed that he is currently at the office with some other staff of the commission trying to contain the fire incident.  Gunmen attack Abuja community, kidnap Scores Unknown gunmen on Thursday kidnapped scores of residents of Tungan Maje village, a community bordering the Federal Capital Territory and Niger State. The hoodlums reportedly stormed the village where they kidnapped about 20 persons after shooting sporadically in the air. Vigilantes in the community were said to have put spirited resistance against them, but the kidnappers escaped into Niger State with their victims through a nearby forest surrounded by rocky terrain. Governor Ayade commissions Health facilities, classroom blocks, solar powered boreholes in Obudu Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has commissioned two healthcare centres in Bebuabong and Bebuawhan communities with solar powered boreholes and a four classroom block in Betukwel Kingdom.
