Ernest Joes Joins Evidence Group, C’River Youths on One Million-Man Walk for Tinubu, Otu The All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly candidate for Obubra I State Constituency, Tpl. Ernest Joes Obasse, on Saturday joined the Convener of the Evidence Group, Mr. Dominic Edem Bassey, and other Cross River youths on a one million-man solidarity walk in support of the re-election bids of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Senator Bassey Edet Otu. The walk, which commenced at Millennium Park and proceeded through Mary Slessor and Rabana before terminating at the U.J. Esuene Stadium, attracted youths, government appointees, APC stakeholders, party candidates and supporters from across the state. CR-SEMA DG, Staff Join Solidarity Walk for Governor Otu’s Continuity By David Asu The Director General of the Cross River State Emergency Management Agency, CR-SEMA, Mr. Efa Nyong, today led members of staff of the Agency in a solidarity walk in support of Governor Senator Prince Bassey Otu’s bid for a second term in office. The walk, organised by the Evidence Group, commenced at Millennium Park and passed through Mary Slessor Road, Marian Road and IBB Way before ending at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar. NEMA, CR-SEMA Assess UniCROSS Drainage Channels, Move to Address Persistent Flooding By David Asu The Cross River State Emergency Management Agency (CR-SEMA), in collaboration with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Nigerian Red Cross Society, has commenced assessment of major drainage channels within the University of Cross River State (UniCROSS), Calabar, following concerns over persistent flooding in parts of the institution. The assessment led by the Director General of CR-SEMA, Mr. Efa Nyong, visited the university alongside the Acting Head of Operations for Cross River and Akwa Ibom, NEMA, Mr. Austin Awoji, and the Disaster Management Officer of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Mr. Agbor Okim.
