CR-SEMA DG, Staff Join Solidarity Walk for Governor Otu’s Continuity

The Director General of the Cross River State Emergency Management Agency, CR-SEMA, Mr. Efa Nyong, today led members of staff of the Agency in a solidarity walk in support of Governor Senator Prince Bassey Otu’s bid for a second term in office.

The walk, organised by the Evidence Group, commenced at Millennium Park and passed through Mary Slessor Road, Marian Road and IBB Way before ending at the U.J. Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

The CR-SEMA contingent, led by the DG, participated in the walk under the theme “Team SEMA – Marching for Continuity,” joining other supporters in expressing support for the continuity of the Governor’s administration.

Speaking during the exercise, Nyong reaffirmed his commitment to the Governor’s “People’s First” mantra, noting that the philosophy aligns with the core responsibility of CR-SEMA to put the welfare, safety and wellbeing of Cross Riverians at the centre of its activities.

He said CR-SEMA would continue to key into the People’s First agenda through proactive emergency preparedness, response and interventions aimed at protecting lives and property across the state.

The DG said his participation in the walk was also a demonstration of his personal support for Governor Otu’s bid for continuity, stressing that sustaining the People’s First approach remains important to the work of the emergency management agency.

Members of staff of CR-SEMA actively participated throughout the route, adding visibility to the Agency’s presence at the solidarity exercise.
