Cross River Lawmaker, Hon. Frank Ovat Graces Edondon New Yam Festival, Harps On Peace, Unity  The Member representing Obubra II State Constituency and PDP Candidate for the 2023 House of Assembly election, Hon. Frank Ovat has urged the people of Obubra to embrace dialogue and other non-violent approaches to resolving conflicts. Ovat made this call on Saturday, during the 2023 edition of Edondon New Yam Festival. The lawmaker while commending the chiefs, women and youths for their efforts in sustaining the rich cultural heritage of the  people and for intervening in the chieftaincy tussle that almost engulfed the community, noted that trivial issues bordering on chieftaincy and land that should ordinarily be quelled at the beginning are allowed to degenerate into disastrous conflicts, thereby claiming lives and destroying properties worth millions of Naira.  He maintained that peace, unity and tolerance are a guarantee for a sustainable development in the area.  Earlier, while addressin
