National Social Safety Net Programme: C'River Trains 108 Youths As Enumerators In 18 LGAs Cross River State Government in partnership with the World Bank has trained one hundred and eight youths as enumerators for the Social safety net programme. The State Commissioner for International Development Cooperation, *Dr Inyang Asibong* while flagging off the traning of the enumerators exercise in Calabar ,said their responsibilities was to  locate and identify the very poor and vulnerable citizens across the state. *Asibong*  said the National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office (NASSCO) will supervise the  enumerators who will move around communities  to identify the visibly poor and vulnerable citizens  inline with the State Government  policy under *Professor Ben Ayade*. The Director General of the Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr Janet Ekpenyong has disclosed that the state Governor, Senator Ben Ayade is commited towards achieving an Open Defecation Free State in the nearest possible through the provision of basic infrastructures across the state. The DG made the disclosure at the conference hall of the National Orientation Agency, Calabar during the flag of ceremony of the one day sensitization and capacity building exercise for Community Mobilization Officers towards Achieving an open defecation free status. The NCCSALW replaces the defunct Presidential Committee on Small Arms and Light Weapons and shall serve as the institutional mechanism for policy guidance, research and monitoring of all aspects of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) in Nigeria. Over 200 Households receive CRSG erosion remediation compensation in CRS Sequel to the development of the Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) designed to compensate people affected by the civil works of ongoing intervention across the State, the State Government has commenced the presentation of cheques to Project Affected Persons (PAPs) across the State. The event was flagged off at Igaba in Obudu LGA and Itate in Yala LGA.  The Commissioner for International Development Cooperation and Acting Project Coordinator CRS-NEWMAP, Dr Inyang Asibong, earlier this week presented cheques to beneficiaries.  In her remarks during the cheque presentation, the Commissioner urged the beneficiaries to be very judicious in the use of the money to better their lives.
