2019 General elections: WHY THE APC IS NOT READY TAKE OVER CROSS RIVER STATE IN 2019

 The Cross River chapter of the All Progressive Congress APC seems to be unserious with taking over Cross River State come 2019 if the rumor that Hon. Etim John has been declared chairman is anything to go by as against Dr.  Matthew Ojong Achigbe who was elected chairman of the party in the rescheduled  Cross River APC state congress. The election of Chief Matthew Achigbe was alleged to have brought the crises that rocked the party in the  state to rest until few days ago we heard a court with the election of Dr. Matthew Ojong Achigbe in the rescheduled Cross River APC state Congress. Miss CrossRiver Central 2018: Etung Paramount Ruler pledges support, calls on others to embrace peace .

 The Paramount Ruler of Etung Local Government Area, Ntufam Dr. Emmanuel Oru Ojong has pledged his support for Miss Cross River Central Beauty Pageant saying it is a step in the right direction, especially as it is aimed at raising peace ambassadors in the Central senatorial district of Cross River State. The monarch who received the organisers and contestants of the event in his palace in Ikom, Cross River State on the 20th September 2018 promised to work with whoever will emerge queen calling on other monarchs to queue into the vision and indeed the entire Cross Riverians to imbibe peace. The royal father  who felt in love with the theme of the event called for on a peaceful Coexistence among Nigerians. Highlight of the visit was the official  blessing of the contestants by the paramount ruler. Miss Cross River Central Beauty Pageant 2018 is scheduled to hold on Saturday 29th September at Heritage Hotel Ikom by 4pm.

ACTORS GUILD: WHY THE COURT DECIDED IN FAVOR OF JO ESSE LED EXECUTIVE

Members of  Cross River chapter of the Actors Guild of Nigeria gathered today 21st September 2018 at high court 9, Moore road Calabar to protest in support of  AGN executive led by Jo Esse as the court sat to decide the future of the actors in the state. The sitting which resulted in the vindication of the Jo Esse led Executive saw the court dismissing the suit filed by Monica Udofia and Anderson Edim against the AGN CRS executive  led by Jo Esse under the national leadership of Prince Emeka Ejezie Rollas ( National President). The court absolutely dismissed and rejected Monica's application for an injuction on the executive and other members of AGN CRS. In a letter to members, the chairman AGN CRS Comr. ACTORS PROTEST IN CROSS RIVER STATE, CALL FOR PEACE

Members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria AGN Cross River State Chapter have taken to the street to protest against what they called alleged plot by one Miss Monica Udofia, former factional chairperson under Ibinabo Fiberesima led national executive to frustrate actors in the state. Members displayed placards with different inscriptions calling for Peace in AGN Cross River State chapter. The  PRO, AGN CRS Staro Eno  took to the whatsApp loop of the guild to call on the actress to give peace a chance, insisting that peace is paramount to the growth of the guild. In his statement: The city  embrace and gain grace. It's  Peaceful demonstration. So many of our people are after productions and not tranquility. peace is our responsibility  ... God is supreme and with that there is no limitations to team Forward... We all know how to fight war but we choose peace. Take it from us and let's move forward together. Yours humble servant P.R.O. ACTORS GUILD TO STAGE PEACE PROTEST IN CROSS RIVER STATE

The Actors Guild of Nigeria Cross River State chapter to stage peace protest today at cultural centre Calabar by 9AM.  In a text message  sent to members inviting them for the exercise, members of the guild  said the exercise is  necessary towards restoring   peace and unity  in the guild. All members are therefore called to come out enmass and participate in the exercise, saying that the victory of the guild is certain and that peace must return to the Cross River State chapter. Earlier this month, Coneri Magazine reported that one Miss Monica Udofia, former factional Chairperson of the Actors Guild of Nigeria under Ibinabo Fiberesima led national executive took the Cross River State chapter to court claiming her tenure has not elapsed. The case is still in court. FORMER FINANCE MINISTER KEMI ADEOSUN DEPARTS NIGERIA, ESCAPES PROSECUTION

Former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun has left Nigeria a day after she tabled her resignation letter. The Minister who was involved in certificate forgery departed the country on Saturday, possibly to escape being prosecuted for her crime. Until the time of this report her Nigerian telephone number is still not reachable as Telecom experts speculate that  she probably has gone back to the UK where she was born and bred. Coneri Magazine earlier reported the news of her resignation as Nigerian Minister of Finance after it was found out that she had  forged her  NYSC certificate. Although, she claims she was not aware the certificate was forged, many Nigerians are  clamoring for the  prosecution of the matter. And although she has resigned honorably as minister of finance, many claim she travelled to escape being prosecuted.
