  The Executive Chairman of Obubra Local Government Council, Hon Dr Bassey Agara Tom has yesterday December 17th, 2020 commissioned a Bridge linking the Field of Diamond Mining Company, Okpon Forest, Iyamitet Community, Obubra. The Field of Diamond is a Mining Company in Iyamitet Community that is extracting solid mineral deposit in Okpon Forest, Iyamitet  Community. According to the CEO of the Company, Lady Diamond Sekibo who built the Bridge, the area is rich with different kinds of minerals underneath. She said that if the area is fully tapped, it will bring development to the LGA. Lady Sekibo decried lack of government presence in Iyamitet, lamenting the refusal of investors to invest with her because of the bad road.
