C'River Govt Commences Rehabilitation of Yellow Duke, Chambley, and Other Culverts to Prevent Road Collapse The Cross River State Government has commenced the rehabilitation of several culverts, including the Yellow Duke and Chambley culverts to avert imminent collapse. This strategic intervention aims to preserve the integrity of the road network and ensure the safety of commuters. According to Mr. Efa Nyong, one of landlords in the area, the deteriorating condition of these culverts posed a significant risk to the stability of the road, prompting the government's swift action. He praised Senator Bassey Edet Otu, the governor of the state for recognising the importance of maintaining robust infrastructure and for the prompt mobilisation of resources to address the critical repairs. The rehabilitation efforts involve comprehensive upgrades to strengthen the culverts and mitigate the effects of wear and tear.

House Of Reps Launches Inquiry Into Apiapum Road Construction Delay, Summons NDDC, Iwari Global Energy Limited For Explanations The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions has commenced its investigation into the delayed construction of Apiapum Road in Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State.  The committee led by the Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, the member Representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency held its first hearing on Thursday, 8th February, 2024, following a petition filed by Etaba Agbor Esq. against the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Iwari Global Energy Limited.
