Engr Thomas Aruku towards the establishment of a Federal Fire Service Division in Ogoja is yielding dividends through the collaboration of the Chairman Hon. Christopher Agbeh. It was a feeling of excitement when the contingent of the Comptroller General Federal Fire Service led by Joseph Odah, carried out an inspection tour of Federal Government institutions; market places, schools, offices and businesses premises to fine tune their report.   A CONTINGENT OF FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE PAY HON. ENGR THOMAS ARUKU A WORKING VISIT, TO CARRY OUT FEASIBILITY STUDIES ON SITING A DIVISION  In a bold initiative to forestall fire outbreaks and site a Federal Fire Service Division in Ogoja. The Member representing Ogoja State Constituency, Hon. Engr Thomas Aruku had written the Federal Fire Service Headquarters, Abuja in January, 2025 requesting for fire equipment and siting of Fire Division in Ogoja. The letter was later transmitted to the Federal Ministry of Interior for prompt response and to carry out a feasibility study on Ogoja Area. Hon.   Humanitarian Commissioner Rescues child from torture, maltreatment and physical abuse. The Hon. Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs in Cross River State, Dr. Mrs. Helen Isamoh Egodo has rescued a 10 year old child, master Ephraim Chinonso God'swill from physical torture and abuse perpetrated by his own biological parent. The rescue mission which took place on Tuesday 18th February 2025 was launched in collaboration with the Department of Gender and Child Protection of the Cross River State Command of the Nigerian Police Force. The Hon. commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs was alerted to Master Ephraim's condition hy a distress report from a well meaning Nigerian who witnessed the incessant and malicious attack on the child by his own mother.
