CONTINGENT OF COMPTROLLER GENERAL FEDERAL FIRE SERVICE WRAPS UP FEASIBILITY STUDIES, AS OGOJA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN DONATES OFFICE SPACE FOR SMOOTH TAKE OFF
The efforts of the Member representing Ogoja State Constituency Hon. Engr Thomas Aruku towards the establishment of a Federal Fire Service Division in Ogoja is yielding dividends through the collaboration of the Chairman Hon. Christopher Agbeh.
It was a feeling of excitement when the contingent of the Comptroller General Federal Fire Service led by Joseph Odah, carried out an inspection tour of Federal Government institutions; market places, schools, offices and businesses premises to fine tune their report. The visit afforded the men the opportunity to assess facilities around Ogoja and it's environs. During an interview with one of the personnel, Joseph Odah said, all Ogoja stakeholders must ramp up support for the establishment of a Division of Federal Fire Service irrespective of their cultural differences or political affiliation.
Hon. Boniface Modey, Ogoja Urban Ward 1 Councillor who represented the Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Area, led the team round the burnt High Court Complex Ogoja, properties destroyed in Ishibori Market, the burnt Arena Sports Complex, opposite Army Barracks, Artisanal Mining Hub, Ugaga, and School of Nursing Science Ogoja. Hon. Boniface reiterated his support for the smooth take off, he said we cannot make meaningful development in a vacuum, everyone must be involved. At the end of the tour the Director of Security Organizations (DSO) Mr Raymond Monfem allocated an office space on behalf of the Chairman, Hon. Christopher Agbeh for the smooth take off of Federal Fire Service Division in Ogoja.
The team that accompanied the delegation were Mr Igbaji Modey, former CRO Ogoja, Amb Kanjal Awam, Publisher Inside Cross River News and Engr Eldorado Ade, Admin of My Ogoja My Heritage MOMH. The advocacy for the establishment of Federal Fire Service Division Ogoja, is germane and is long overdue. Ogoja is in dire need of Federal presence and cannot take place in an atmosphere of rancor or political differences. All hands must be on deck!
