COVID 19: How prepared is Cross River in handling any outbreak of the pandemic in the state? ...A wake up call to the Government and people of Cross River State. By Simon Utsu Coneri Magazine Ayade did well to shut the Cross River borders some days ago and also place men everywhere to ensure there was compliance but I'm just hearing that there's a suspected case of Corona and the person is under close monitoring at the UCTH isolation centre. Lagos has a near state-of-the-art isolation centre and the commissioner for health, Professor Akinola Abayomi(pictured), a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Pathologists of the United Kingdom has so far, done a yeoman's job. It may be too early but I think he's my man of the year already.  Aside the awareness campaign embarked upon by the CRS health commissioner & her team, I'm still not convinced that the state is ready to tackle this pandemic. In fact, as it is, Cr...

COVID 19: One million Americans to die of the virus...CNN : Check out the number of people to die in Africa

COVID 19 AND THE MARK OF THE BEAST "Between 100,000 to 240,000 people will be killed by Covid 19 in Amerca if we take the right measures but if we do not take the right measures up to 1 million Americans may die"- CNN. If CNN is quoting the experts in the medical field and saying that up to 1 million people may die in America alone if the right measures are not taken to tackle Covid 19, can anyone hazard a guess how many millions we may lose in Nigeria and Africa if care is not taken? The whole thing is horrendous and apocalyptic. What is really going on with Covid 19 is far too big, too complex, too sinister, too evil, too bizarre and too extraordinary for the average mind to comprehend or accept. You need to be very astute, very well-read, very focused and literally a genius to get it clearly or you need to be led by the Spirit of God to open your mind and eyes. Without either you will struggle with accepting the truth and even if you do accept it you may not b...

April 1st and the Origin of April Fool: All you need to know

History of April Fools’ Day April Fools’ Day spread throughout Britain during the 18th century. In Scotland, the tradition became a two-day event, starting with “hunting the gowk,” in which people were sent on phony errands (gowk is a word for cuckoo bird, a symbol for fool) and followed by Tailie Day, which involved pranks played on people’s derrieres, such as pinning fake tails or “kick me” signs on them. April Fools’ Day Pranks In modern times, people have gone to great lengths to create elaborate April Fools’ Day hoaxes. Newspapers, radio and TV stations and websites have participated in the April 1 tradition of reporting outrageous fictional claims that have fooled their audiences. In 1957, the BBC reported that Swiss farmers were experiencing a record spaghetti crop and showed footage of people harvesting noodles from trees. In 1985,  Sports Illustrated  writer George Plimpton tricked many readers when he ran a made-up article about a rookie pitcher named Sid...
