Public Petitions Committee Investigates Electricity Issues in Mbaise District The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions on Friday 15th March, 2024 embarked on an investigative trip to Mbaise District in Imo State to address electricity supply concerns raised in a petition. Led by Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba MHR, member representing Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency, the committee arrived at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport on Friday in a two-day trip to conduct on-the-spot assessments in Mbaise and Ngor-Okpalla LGAs and was warmly received upon arrival with a cultural performance organized by the Greater Mbaise Association, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and great hospitality of Imo state. Special recognitions were given to Rev. Fr. Leo Eke and Barr. Malachy Nwaekpe for their contributions to the cause. Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba and Hon. Festus Echi Philip has successfully concluded a School Fees Support Program for over 185 students across nine schools in Obubra Local Government Area (LGA).
