 House of Reps Summons EEDC and TCN Over Total Blackout In Parts Of Imo State In a bid to address the longstanding issue of total blackout, extortion, and neglect in some parts of Imo state, particularly, in Mbaise, the House of Representatives, through its Committee on Public Petitions headed by Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, has summoned the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) and the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). The summon, which is in response to a petition filed by Barr. Malachy Nwaekpe and concerned Mbaise residents, highlighting the continuous lack of electricity supply and the unjust practice of issuing estimated bills by EEDC, is geared towards arresting the situation permanently and ensuring that the people of Imo state and indeed all Nigerians partake in the renewed agenda of the present administration led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.  During the initial hearing on Thursday, 18th January, 2024, the committee chairman and member representing Obubra/Etung Federal
