Peter Okim Emerges Chairman as IPMAN Calabar Unit Holds Elections After Seven Years Eriacy Confidence Oba, Coneri Blog - Calabar The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Calabar unit, witnessed a historic election after seven years of crisis, resulting in the unanimous election of Comrade Peter Okim Abang as chairman. The election, held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Navy Officers Mess, Calabar marked a turning point for the association, aiming to restore peace and progress. Comrade Abang, the immediate interim chairman, secured victory as his main contender, Excellence Petroleum, gracefully stepped down from the race. The election also saw Sunday Edet Oboh becoming vice chairman and Okechukwu Uwazie assuming the role of Secretary, along with a dynamic team of elected officials. Commissioner For Humanitarian Affairs Commended For Her Proactive Approach In Handling The Case Of A Family Involved In Gas Incident The Chief Medical Director of Peace Medical Centre, Calabar, Dr. Edet Attih and Ward 4 Youth Leader, Mr. Bassey B. Ekpenyong, on Tuesday November 28, 2023 paid a visit to the Cross River State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Helen Isamoh-Egodo, to show their appreciation for her proactive approach in handling the case of a family involved in a gas incident. C'River Commissioner For Humanitarian Affairs And Poverty Alleviation Visits The United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees As part of the mandate of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation to effectively coordinate humanitarian interventions in the state, the Honorable Commissioner Dr. Mrs Helen Agan Isamoh-Egodo paid an unscheduled visit to the UNHCR Ogoja office on Friday November 24, 2023 to be abreast of the programs and activities of the UN agency. C'Rive Humanitarian Commissioner Lauds UNHCR For Protection And Empowerment Of Cameroonian Refugees The Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Mrs Helen Isamoh- Egodo has lauded the untiring efforts of the High Commissioner for Refugees UNHCR, for the protection and provision of empowerment programmes for the Cameroonian refugees who have been forced to flee their homes.
