Tday, on World AIDS Day, the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Hon. Mrs Helen Isamoh- Egodo Ph.D, has emphasized the importance of standing against discrimination towards those affected by HIV/AIDS. She called for a society that embraces compassion, understanding, and inclusion.

In her statement, the Commissioner reiterated her commitment to fighting against the global epidemic of HIV/AIDS, advocating for a world free from stigma, discrimination, and new HIV infections. She expressed her belief that every individual deserves respect, support, and equal treatment, regardless of their health status.

The Commissioner also emphasized the need to raise awareness, support those living with HIV/AIDS, and promote access to prevention, treatment, and care for all. She urged everyone to come together and break the chains of stigma and prejudice surrounding HIV/AIDS, working towards a society that embraces compassion and inclusivity.
