This is why When Honourable Kingsley Egumi assumed duty as the executive Chairman of Ikom Local government council approximately three months ago, he made his intention to use rural development as a vehicle for getting close to the people clear.

From the colorful swearing in ceremony which was attended by many dignitaries and stakeholders from Ikom, the appointment of Council staff and several other engagements that have since occupied Honourable Kingsley Egumi, there is no doubt  that his goals and aspirations are receiving the desired attention.

In spite of the chaos which rocked the nation as a result of the  global pandemic, the Ikom Council Boss has left no one in doubt of his leadership ability as the Council witnessed an immediate appointment of Council staff, the setting up of a high powered committee for the rehabilitation, renovation and construction of the Local Government Council Secretariat and chairman office, Renovation of DGSA official Quarters, Provision of relief materials to victims of Ikom main Market Fire outbreak, screening for both Traditional rulers and Primary School Teachers, Inauguration of Anti Task Force on Smuggling and Illegal Activities etc.

In terms of agricultural development, the Chairman in line with His Excellency, Professor Ben Ayade Agricultural policy, is set to make life easy for farmers in other to boost food production and distribution.

On sports, the administration is set to bring smile back to the faces of the teeming Ekabokon supporters while efforts are also geared towards the development of other areas of sports.

There is no doubt that the Chairman is determined to see every facet of human life improved.

Judging by the Chairman's reaction to the challenges facing government owned parastatals especially media organizations; CRBC Ikom, there is no doubt that the Chairman will revamp the activity of media industry.

The executive Chairman, Honourable Kingsley Egumi's impressive achievement in such a short period of time is a reflection of what to expect in the years ahead.
