Odey Ndoma Foundation Provides Free Medical Services to Ikom Residents

The Odey Ndoma Foundation has provided free medical services to residents of Yala Nkum Ward in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River State. The two-day medical outreach, which commenced on August 28, 2024 and concluded  on the 29  of the same month at the Yala Nkum Health Center, attracted a large number of men and women from the various villages comprising the clan, including neighboring wards of Nde, Ikom Urban and Ofutop,to thronged the venue to  receive free treatment.

The Director-General of the foundation, Elder Dr. Ndoma Odey, remarked during the flag-off ceremony, that the medical outreach was part of the foundation's efforts to give back to society. He said" I believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation. We promise that this will be an annual activity and will not be limited to Yala Nkum Ward, but will be extended to other wards in due course."

Dr. Ndoma, added that they assembled a team of medical professionals, including doctors and nurses, from different specialist hospitals to provide a wide range of medical services, including consultations, diagnoses, and treatment. He expressed the foundation's commitment to making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of the people"

Some beneficiaries of the outreach expressed their gratitude to the foundation. "I have been suffering from this ailment for months, but I couldn't afford to go to the hospital," said Mrs. Rosemary Odey, a resident of Yala Nkum Ward, expressing gratitude to the Odey Ndoma Foundation for the free medical outreach. She said that she had received treatment and medication, and was already feeling better."

Another beneficiary, Mr. Joseph Odey, who is resident at Ikom Four corners said revealed that she was diagnosed with hypertension and diabetes, but couldn't afford the medication and the Foundation for their intervention." I have received free treatment and medication. I am so grateful for their kindness and generosity." She added.

Meanwhile, the Clan Head of Yala Nkum Ward, Osuole Patrick has lauded the commitment of the Odey Ndoma foundation,. Particularly, the Director General, Dr. Odey Ndoma. He said the medical outreach was a commendable initiative that demonstrates the organization's commitment to giving back to society and improving the health and wellbeing of the community.
