C'River Commissioner For Wealth Creation And Employment Felicitates With The People Of Bakor On The Occasion Of Their 2023 New Yam Festival

Today, the 15th day of September, the Bakor people of Ogoja/Ikom, Cross River State, come together in joyous celebration to commemorate their highly anticipated New Yam Festival known as NTO'HL.

This vibrant and culturally significant festival serves as a heartfelt expression of gratitude towards God for safeguarding their lives and blessing them with a bountiful Harvest of Yam, the king crop.

The festival also presents a platform for the showcasing of the rich cultural heritage of the Bakor Nation which cuts across Ogoja and Ikom Local Government Areas.

As a son of Bakor, I am truly delighted to extend my warmest and most sincere wishes to the entire Bakor Nation, as they embark on this year's New Yam festivities.

May this auspicious occasion be filled with boundless joy, unity, and an abundance of blessings for all.
