C'River Commissioner For Humanity And Social Welfare Honoured By A Reputable Institution  

The commissioner for Social Welfare and Humanitarian Services, Cross River State, Hon. Mrs Blessing Otobha Egbara had yesterday December 12th, 2020 received and award of honour from a reputable institution. The award which was received on behalf of the commissioner by the Hon. Secretary of Obubra Local Government Council, Mrs Isangha Helen Marcel was presented by the Regina Pacis Modern Secondary School, Ofumbongha, Obubra on the occasion of her 30th anniversary celebration.


Receiving the award for the commissioner, Hon. Mrs Helen Isangha said the commissioner was overwhelmed by the honour of making her the mother of the day, and would have loved to appear in person but not for her official engagement in the State Capital. The Obubra Secretary of Council said the commissioner, Mrs Blessing Egbara would be more delighted and humbled by the award, adding that she would do her part to return the message to her without delay.


Speaking during the presentation of the award, the Principal of the institution Rev. Father Bebia Abang described the commissioner as a passionate woman whose contributions to the growth of humanity knows no bound. He said that her contributions to Regina Pacis Modern Secondary School Ofumbongha would not be forgotten in a hurry, adding that the award was to show appreciation and to spur her to continue in the spirit of philanthropism which she has always been known for.
