C'River: Commissioner for Humanity and social Welfare ensures strict compliance of total shutdown of all entry/exit points in Obubra

In line with Prof. Ben Ayade's directives on total shutdown of all entry and exit points in Cross River State, the Honourable commissioner for humanity and social welfare Mrs Blessing Egbara was in obubra earlier today 11th April 2020 to ensure strict compliance. 

Mrs Egbara who was accompanied by the National President of Mbembe People's Assembly, Hon. King Sylvester Omenyi, the president of Obubra women Association Mrs Helen Isangha,  security operatives and the media ensured that the entry points at Ogurude, Ogada and other border communities at Osopong 1 and 2 are totally shutdown.

In her speech, the commissioner urged road users to comply strictly with the directive of the Governor in his effort to prevent the spread of the dreaded corona virus pandemic into the state. She maintained that residents and road users who flout the directive shall face the weight of the law. However, she insisted that the road is open to the patrol of security operatives and transportation of medical and Agro related services.

Mrs Egbara while encouraging indigenes of the area to maintain healthy standards of social distancing, frequent hand washing with running water and sanitizer, use of nose masks and reporting  suspected cases to the appropriate authority, further distributed face masks, hand sanitizers and food stuffs to the citizens.
