NDDC CHAIRMAN SEN. VICTOR NDOMA EGBA WELCOMES MISS CROSS RIVER CENTRAL, PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR PEACE


 Former Senate leader and chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC Sen. Victor Ndoma Egba on Sunday 30th September 2018 received the winner of Miss Cross River Central 2018 and her ontourage. The APC  flagbearer for Central Senatorial District of Cross River State pledged his support for the crown and the theme of the 2018 edition which is aimed at raising peace ambassadors.
 In a speech,the crowned  Miss Cross River Central 2018, HRM Queen Thelma Etta said she was dismayed over the widespread of violence and  incessant communal clashes and disputes threatening the existence of the zone saying that is the reason Coneri Magazine came up with Miss CrossRiver Central Beauty Pageant.

The queen used the platform to solicit support for task  ahead, adding that peace is paramount to the growth of the zone.
 While congratulating the Senator over what he described as determined attempt to rescue the Central Senatorial District of Cross River State from the clutches of underdevelopment, gross insecurities, abject poverty and total injustice, the CEO Coneri Magazine, organizers of the event Comr. Eriacy Confidence said the event is not only aimed at raising a queen that will address the incessant communal clashes, boundary and land disputes, cult activities and other social menaces,
 but also to empower the girl child.
 The 2018 edition saw the CEO of Coneri magazine, Eriacy Confidence handing keys to a brand new car to the winner miss Thelma Etta.
 The visit had in attendance the current queen of Coneri magazine Queen Chiemeka Opara, popular Nollywood Actress and Coneri Red Carpet host Goodness Emeka, first runner up for Miss Cross River Central 2018 Queen Canice, Second runner up for the event Christy, one of the contestants and current Face of Ogoja and others.
 Welcoming the queen, the leader said if elected back into the Senate, he would use his office to further ensure there is absolute peace in line with the objective of the organisers of Miss Cross River Central.
