RT HON.PAUL ADAH'S DEATH: A COLOSSAL LOSS -OWAN ENOH

The Senator Representing Cross River Central in the National Assembly and APC Candidate in the just concluded Governorship Elections in Cross River State, Senator John Owan Enoh has described the death of Obudu  born Legislator and foremost politician Rt Hon Paul Andeshi Adah as a collosal loss to Cross River State in particular and the country at large. In his write-up titled: RT HON. PAUL ANDESHI ADAH: PASSAGE OF A MAN OF THE PEOPLE, Owan Enoh described the deceased as great philanthropist that was greatly loved by the people. He wrote:

"RT HON.PAUL ANDESHI ADAH :PASSAGE OF A MAN OF THE PEOPLE*

In life, you bestrode the world like a collosus, in death you left your indelible footprints on the sands of time. Although your untimely passage to eternity hit us like a thunderbolt and left us creftfallen , we nonetheless submitted to the supreme will of God Almighty, the creator and possessor of the universe.

Your death was indeed a body blow to your family and to all of us who were closely associated with you but we have found solace in the quality of life you lived and the love and passion for humanity you radiated throughout your life of service to our people.

We forged our friendship consumed by passion and determination to make life more meaningful for our people. We dreamt and nurtured the dream of a new order in which our people will flourish and live their lives to the fullest potentials as imbued by the creator.

We fought many battles in the trenches, we sought to change the narrative of relative deprivation by tapping into the transformative capacity of our people but alas you are no more. But the cacophony of those fierce battles bear eloquent testimony of your pedigree, nobility and compassion for the weak and infirm.

I will continue to cherish your friendship. Some political leaders who tasted success abandoned the people at the pinnacle of success but instructively, your politics was rooted in the people who you loved immeasurably. No wonder the indelible sobriquet :Paul for all, all for Paul .

In a society consumed by primitive accumulation of wealth, greed and avarice, you opened up your till and shared without holding back. You blazed the trail of uncommon generosity and by so doing, bequeathed a befitting legacy of philanthropy for which you will remembered for generations.

Paul, although you have been translated into an immortal by the creator of the universe, yet your noble spirit lives on.

Adieu my dear friend, adieu Paul for all, all for Paul.
May God Almighty grant eternal repose to your noble soul.

*Sen.John Owan Enoh*
