Nollywood Veteran Actor Sam Dede is plus one

Veteran Nollywood Actor, Director, Producer, Politician, Lecturer and Philanthropist, Samuel Dedetoku popularly known as Sam Dede is plus one today. He was born on 30^th November 1965 in Lagos State in the south western part of Nigeria.. He is a native of Okrika, a small village in Rivers State, in the south southern part of Nigeria but grew up in Lagos, Nigeria.

After his primary and secondary school education, Sam Dede proceeded to University of Port Harcourt in River State and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Theatre Arts. After his National Youth Service (NYSC), Sam Dede came back to University of Port Harcourt and obtained his Masters Degree in Theatre Arts.

Sam Dede is currently a senior lecturer at the University of Port-Harcourt in River State where lectures in the Department of Theatre Arts. He is one of the pioneers of the Nigerian movie industry (Nollywood), he has been in the industry for over 20 years and has acted in more than 250 Nollywood movies which include Isakaba, Igodo, Mission to Nowhere, Darkest Night, War Front, The President must Not Die, Ebube, Lion King, etc.

In 2015,Legendary Sam Dede won the African Movie Academy Award for Best in a supporting role. He has also won award for most prominent actor in Nigeria by Africa Magic viewers choice Award.
In 2012, Sam Dede was appointed Director General of Rivers state Tourism Development.

Sam Dede is currently married to a loving wife and beautiful children. He resides in Port Harcourt, the River State capital and combines lecturing job with his acting career.

He is no doubt one of the most popular, most influential and highest grossing nollywood Actor with a net worth of Three million US Dollars.
