HUMAN RIGHT GROUP CONGRATULATES EGBARA, PLEDGES TO WORK WITH THE MINISTRY IN PROMOTING THE WELL-BEING OF CROSS RIVERIANS

A Human Rights group has congratulated Mrs Blessing Otobha Egbara on her appointment as Commissioner for Humanity and Social Welfare in Cross River State.
The Founder/President of Human Rights and Peace Advocacy, Ambassador Agim Godwin Apple who in a new year message , decribed Egbara as a perfect match for the job, pledged the organization's support for the ministry in advancing the welfare of Cross Riverians.
"I want to congratulate Mrs Egbara on her appointment as commissioner for Humanity and social welfare and the Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade for creating the ministry to advance the welfare of humanity.
I want to pledge my unalloyed support, on behalf of Human Rights and Peace Advocacy for the new ministry."
The Finland based diplomat in his new year message appealed to civil servants in the state to partner with Non Governmental organizations to facilitate the activities of the State Government while thanking the Cross River State Governor, Sen Prof Ben Ayade for his pioneering role in creating the ministry of Humanity and social welfare and for assigning a senior humanitarian to head the new ministry.
"As the Cross River state Governor creates the ministry of humanity and social welfare, it calls for immediate positive reactions from the human Rights NGOs to support the commissioner in promoting the well-being of the citizens of Cross River State."
Ambassador Apple said that Gov Ayade has displayed high sense of maturity and confidence in adopting the United Nations legislation on human Rights, revealing that his mission is to ensure that every citizen enjoys independence in all areas of human endeavour.
Mrs Blessing Egbara was sworn in as commissioner alongside 39 others.
