The chapter chairman of the people's Democratic party in abi local Government area, comr. Victor Bassey has admonished party FAITHFULS on the easter celebration.
In his words the PDP chapter chairman said,
Today join all mankind of the Christian faith all over the world to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.
Let us fulfil the reason of His ressurection in our daily activities as we live in peace, unity and love among ouselves.
The bible says “follow peace with all men” Men in this context does not exclude people of other faith and beliefs.
It is our prerogative as Christians to be light unto the path of others.
Let me use this opportunity to admonish our party faithful to be stable and focus as we continue to love and reconcile our aggrieved members and keep mobilizing for 2023 victory. My administration as the chapter Chairman will continue to do it best and will never tolerate anti-party activities but will continue to be synergistic with other parties for a peaceful Abi. We will continue to show loyalty to the leader of the party in the State, His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade and show commitment and respect to the National figure, our Father, His Excellency Sen. Liyel Imoke, for a better Cross River and PDP.
As we continue with the commemoration of the death of Christ Jesus, I charge every elected officials and appointees to continue to show love and commitment in their dealings with those they represent, that will help the party grow stronger as the party constitution demands.
The story, however, has a new narrative today as the world comes together in distancing from one another due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
May the rising of Jesus mark new beginnings of advancement in every area of our lives (Amen).
