Factually Speaking, one of the greatest contemporary problem of Africa is the problem of Leadership. Africa is obviously viewed as a reflective macrocosm of the leadership failures bedeviling the integrating components, countries and communities that make up the Continent. It's therefore trite to opine that the travails and triumphs, pains and gains in Africa rises and falls only on Leadership. Hence, it's extremely pertinent for one who is progressively minded to understudy the best workable leadership template befitting of one's administrative niche.
Arising from the aforesaid, it has become absolutely imperative to x-ray some of the leadership qualities of His Youthfulness Comrade Dan Obo Jnr. Quite frankly is the fact that, no matter how you try to vilify, castigate and demonize a man, there's always something intrinsical and interesting about a man that you can't help but admire. For a person like Comrade Dan Obo Jnr, you can't help but admire his all-inclusive people-oriented Leadership style. Recently, there have been some ominous signals from faceless mischief makers to undermine the position of the state Youth Council Chairman. Aware of these shenanigans, the State Chairman has remained calm, calculative, unperturbed and steadfast in discharging the duties incidental to his office. But for the sake of clarity and disabusing the minds of some persons that have been fed by the grapevine, it's sacrosanct to set the records straight.
His Youthfulness Comrade Dan Obo Jnr has remain unassuming in his style of leadership. As a Leader who understands the importance of not allowing any executive member of the Youth Council to be redundant, His Youthfulness has a penchant for delegating duties to his executive members. It's on record that the success of the youth council in Cross River State today is a reflective testament of the leadership style of Comrade Dan Obo Jnr where everyone is giving a platform to function and flourish non-competitively.
Few Months ago, the Secretary of the Youth Council at the behest of His Youthfulness, Comrade Dan Obo Jnr, represented the Chairman in Anambra State at a meeting of the entire South-South, South-west and South-East Chairmen of NYCN. During the Ward to Ward Tour and Inauguration of elected members of the Youth Council across the 18 Local Government Areas of Cross River State, Comrade Dan Obo Jnr also saw the need to delegate some of the duties of inauguration to his Deputy, Engr Joel Henshaw. With this sterling relationship existing amongst the leadership hierarchy of the Youth Council, one can only expect nothing but the best. Recently, the social media space went agog with Pictures of the National President of Youth Council visiting the State on a private visit. The pictures which has continued to elicit some Politically motivated comments, with people suggesting that the state Chairman conspicuously avoided hosting the erstwhile National President because there's already a sinister plan to usurp his powers and oust him out of office by some Political gladiators in the state. As much as one cannot dismiss in its entirety some of these comments, I think we should rather commend Comrade Dan Obo Jnr for his style of leadership where everyone is giving the room to function and flourish, a template for every Leader to emulate. From investigation, the Deputy Chairman who was said to have represented the state Chairman did that at the instance of the Chairman because the State Chairman was in a meeting with the Local Government Coordinators Across the 18 Local Government Areas. The Comrade Dan Obo Jnr that I Know is calm, collected and calculative and cannot be cowed, intimidated or undermined by anybody no matter how highly placed. I am optimistic about, and confident in his leadership style.
May Comrade Dan Obo Jnr Succeed!!.
