PDP State Legal Adviser Express Party Commitment And Promptitude To Rejuvenating The Nation's Economy.


The state legal adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Cross River State , Barr. Ikpi Ubana Eyong has described the just concluded National Convention of the party held at Abuja as a successful preparation for the take over and restructuring of Nigeria.


 He said, the People's Democratic party (PDP) is prepared to rejuvenate the economy of Nigeria and offer the citizens salutary Governance when they take over Government in 2023, stating that only the Peoples Democratic party have the administrative know how that will remediate the economy of the country which has been plundered by the APC Government.


Barr. Ikpi expressed his delight at the emergence of Prof. Stella Attoe as National women leader of the Party, iterating that it is a position she deserves, especially as a veteran who has served the party in various levels including the board of trustees of the Party and her contributions to the party have been excellent and they have no doubt that she will continue to render her services to the party for the growth and victories of the party.


Speaking on the Governorship Zoning, the legal adviser rebuffed rumours of discord amongst party members who are assumed to be involved in cold political war due to the Governorship Zoning which is said to be contentious among the Senatorial districts of the state and said, that the PDP is a big family that has an internal machinery of resolving differences in a rancour free way, individual interest and aspirations cannot divide the party as the party has it best medium of resolving challenges, while he reiterated that only individuals that are acceptable by the people and equipped with the qualities of developing their constituencies and the state, will emerge as the paty's candidates for the 2023 general Elections.


He elucidated that, the PDP in the state have challenged the position of Governor Ben Ayade for taking the mandate of the party to the All Progressives Congress (APC), explaining that the APC has never won elections in Cross River State and the ballot papers didn't have the name of Governor Ben Ayade but the names and symbols of political parties which the people carefully and consummately voted for the PDP, while he concluded that it was best for Governor Ayade to leave the PDP mandate behind if he was moving to another political party as Cross Riverians voted PDP for the result oriented and favourable democracy they have offered the citizens before APC's taking over in 2015.


Barr. Ikpi Ubana encouraged the People of Cross River to be steadfast and continue to drum their support for PDP as the party will never disappoint them in the delivery of optimum Governance while they work together to build and make Cross River the Nation's paradise that it is known for and for the good of the citizenry and the upcoming generation.
