The youths of Akpabuyo Local Government area In Cross River State have vouched their commitment to support and work with Engr. Joel Henshaw as candidate for the Akpabuyo state Constituency bye election into the Cross River State house of assembly which is built to hold on 22nd, February, 2022.
They described him as a servant leader with efficacy to deliver their expected Democratic gains to them, as he has over the years proven selfless leadership through affability to his people with advocating for amelioration of the welfare of the Akpabuyo people, hailing that all his interventions always yielded magnificent results to the furthest benefits of women, men, youths and children of Akpabuyo Communities.
Engr. Joel who is deputy chairman of the National Youth council(NYCN) in Cross River State, while presenting his impressive manifesto to the young people of Akpabuyo Local Government Area, appreciated them for building confidence in him to represent them in the state house of assembly, iterating that his representation will bond with the Traditional institution, Elderly men,women, and young people of akpabuyo to enable him deleiver profitable representation to his people as appreciation for their mandate entrusted on him as they all work together for the betterment of Akpabuyo Local Government Area.
On presenting his manifesto in sequence, the aspirant who is contesting under the platform of the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) said his administration will start with visiting the immediate essential needs of the akpabuyo people such as,
MAKING FAVOURABLE LAWS : He explained reasons why legislative officers should be actively involved in sponsoring bills as he will sponsor bills and make resolutions that will improve the living condition of the akpabuyo indigenes and their visitors as well as engaging public private partnership programmes to improve the productivity of the people and broaden their investment options which will inturn create employments for them.
HEALTH-CARE : He promised to expedite the revamp of non-working health centres and government hospitals as well as creating a window for private sector medical partnership as every progressive society requires her people to be healthy and he will ensure suffice medical attention is delivered to the people of Akpabuyo Local Government Area.
EDUCATION : The aspirant promised to give top priority to education through provision of conducive learning environment with infrastructural materials that will enhance the studies of the students, encouraging sporting activities across schools and wards within the local Government area and engagement of quality voluntary service providers to ensure a Sterling education standard in the entire Akpabuyo Local Government Area.
CONSTITUENCY PROJECTS : Engr. Joel promised to develop every part of Akpabuyo with visible and beneficial Constituency projects that are particularly needed by the people, to afford them the luxuriate of his legislative representation.
SECURITY : Speaking on why Akpabuyo should have a consolidated security network with 24 hours vigilance in the nooks and crannies of the l.g.a, He went further to say security is Paramount in every society as he will focalize on security as a crucial concern of his office and and interface with Government to ensure the safety of lives and properties of the people as well as government infrastructures which have been built as utilities for the people.
Engr. Joel henshaw concluded with asking for constant engagement between him and the people of Akpabuyo as he is prepared to change the narratives and provide alternative voice for the youths, women,men and children of Akpabuyo Local Government Area.
