Code 888 Intensify Support On Return Of Power To The South As They Officially Launch State Secretariat/Inauguration Of Local Government Area structures.

 






A political pressure group in Cross River state, who's core mandate is to infuse and maintain equity, justice and fairness in the political steer of Cross River State, thereby supporting the return of power to the south have intensified their support for the return of Governorship to the southern Senatorial district, with the official launching of her state Secretariat in Calabar and inauguration of her local government structures/ advocates for the return of power to the southern Senatorial district. 



in his opening speech, the Director General of the group Comr. Maurice Nkong appreciated Cross Riverians who came in from their respective localities to support the quest for the return of power to the south which is equitable and fair to the southern people. He said the code 888 is a Divine code that accepts membership from across party lines to work together in ensuring fairness and justice is supreme in the share of power which has maintained the relative peace and security enjoyed in the state, stressing that after the south have supported the central and the north to gain power, they should also be reciprocated with the tranquil and appriopriate return of power to them come 2023.


He guaranteed the people of the south of unbounded support from code 888 to ensure the south produce Governor come 2023.


The commissioner for tourism in the state, Mr. Eric Anderson while inaugurating the Local Government coordinators appreciated the leaders and members of code 888 for standing by the truth and supporting the return of power to the south, promising that the kind gesture of code 888 to the south will not be taken for granted, as them in the south will engage all necessary resources to enhance the programmes of code 888 for supporting the south to benefit from equity, justice and fairness in the rotation of power which he believes will return to the people of the southern Senatorial district come 2023.


Comr. Great Ogban who is a member of code 888 said they are happy that the body language of the government of Cross River State is in support of the south to take back power and as a senatorial district that have seven united local government area's which includes Akamkpa, Biase, Odukpani, calabar municipality, Calabar south, Akpabuyo and Bakassi they are stronger and united to fight the course of getting power back in the south, saying as a people with same interest and unity they are happy that power comes back to the south irrespective of the local Government that takes it in the south.


He called on the sons and daughters of Akamkpa and Biase local government area's to begin the propagation of interest for the Governorship position as they all belong to the southern Senatorial district and together they will fight the same course of returning power back to the southern Senatorial district come 2023.




The state chairman of NYCN, Comr. Dan Obo advised the young people to be guided and support this course for justice, saying emphatically that the youth council supports code 888 in her endeavour to return power to south as they will collectively work as a youth force in the state to support the south in producing Governor come 2023.


Representatives of the three senatorial districts of Cross River, Comr. Jacob Ubangha from central, Barr Ijom Ukam from the south and Comr. Modey ugbuji from the north who spoke at the event said the return of power to the south is non negotiable, as them and their people will not support any form of injustice that will deny the southern Senatorial district of their deserved power come 2020.



The special assistant to the Governor on students affairs, Comr. Abang Ogon avowed his Support for the return of power to the south and applauded the leadership of Code 888 for the bold vision they have conceive which will become reality with the equitable return of Governorship to the south come 2023.


The event was attended by student bodies, youth bodies, leaders of political parties in Cross River State, civil societies and entire members of the code 888 group in Cross River State.
