Saveus Okoi Quest For Youths Inclusiveness In Governance.

A front line aspirant for state house of assembly representing Yakurr 1 state Constituency in the Cross River State house of assembly has called for youths inclusiveness in the leadership of Nigeria. 

Comr. Saveus who made the quest in a stakeholders engagement of the Atiku Care foundation in Calabar, which had the presence of the director general of the foundation and special adviser to the former vice president H.E Atiku Abubakar on Youths and Support groups Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abass cited that since the inception of democracy in 1999, the youths especially of Cross River State have suffered neglect in leadership Inclusiveness as the youths posses all the credentials to participate in effective governance but yet are promised, used and dumped after elections.

He said Cross River State has like-minded youths who are determined and ready to key into the agenda of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar but needs to be captured in the scheme of operations and governance both at the national level with supporting of their human asset development as only then will the youthful development they clamour for be attained.

He wished The D.g a happy and memorable birthday celebration while exchanging pleasantries with him.

The director general of Atiku care foundation, Ambassador Aliyu Abas responded saying, the Atiku care foundation is a broad non-governmental organization which operates across the thirty-six states in the country with a cardinal objective of identifying the peoples challenges and offering solutions to them including human capacity development.

The Dg said Nigeria is presently suffering from a collapsed economy that requires quick intervention and salvage by a technocrat of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's personality, iterating that a large portion of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's programmes captures youthful interest, and the youths should be rest assured of active participation In governance In the Presidential administration of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who will closely work with the youths to restore the greatness of Nigeria.

The meeting was attended by the Dg of Acf, Ambassador Aliyu Abas, Acf Cross River coordinator, Comr. Mark Awa, A Cross River Governorship aspirant, Ambassador Nkoyo Toyo, Acf stakeholders and members of the foundation including youth bodies in Cross River State.
