JOINT COMMUNIQUÉ: RESOLUTION OF INTER-STATE TRANSPORT ISSUES BETWEEN CROSS RIVER AND AKWA IBOM STATES

The Cross River State Commercial Transport Regulatory Agency (CTRA) and the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Transport have successfully resolved inter-state transport issues affecting commercial drivers in both states.

Resolutions

1. Pre-Travel Documentation: Commercial vehicles traveling from Cross River State to Akwa Ibom State must obtain a letter from CTRA CRS, while those from Akwa Ibom State to Cross River State must obtain a letter from the Akwa Ibom Ministry of Transport.

2. Vehicle Registration: All commercial vehicles must be registered with their respective state agencies.

Implementation and Enforcement

These resolutions aim to streamline inter-state transportation, reduce apprehensions, and promote harmony between commercial drivers and enforcement agencies in both states.

Signed
