Women from the Central Senatorial District Reaffirm Support for Senator Williams, Citing His Notable Leadership Achievements
In a display of solidarity and political commitment, the leadership of the Central Senatorial District Women for Distinguished Senator Eteng Jonas Williams, led by their leader, Mrs. Philomena Etim, paid a courtesy visit yesterday to the Senator's Central Senatorial District Liaison Officer, Hon. Ayiba Ojong, at his residence in Calabar.
The delegation of the group was Led by the Coordinator, Central Senatorial District Women For Eteng, Mrs. Philomena Etim. In attendance, were the respective Local Government Area (LGA) coordinators, namely; Princess Alice Ekpota (Abi LGA), Mrs. Alberta Abang (Boki LGA), Mrs. Iyiemba Obono (Yakurr LGA), Mrs. Achi Agbor (Ikom LGA), Hon. Franka Ayuk (Etung LGA), Mrs. Immaculata David (Obubra LGA), other members of their excos and many other women.
The women’s delegation expressed profound pride in the senator’s performance so far, reaffirming their resolute support for his leadership. They pledged to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts, promising to engage women across all polling units, wards, and LGAs in preparation for the 2027 elections.
Hon. Ayiba Ojong warmly welcomed the group and conveyed his appreciation for their steadfast support. He confidently assured them that Senator Eteng Jonas Williams is well-positioned for re-election, citing the senator’s consistent record of impactful representation and dedication to his constituents.
“The Distinguished Senator has proven himself a man of his word, both a good listener and a dependable promise keeper,” Hon. Ayiba remarked. He further pledged that women would be integrally involved in all future initiatives of the senator, particularly highlighting their inclusion in the forthcoming empowerment programme.
He emphasized that the senator holds the empowerment and advancement of women in high regard and will continue to provide platforms for their active participation in governance and community development.
