Forum of Obubra Political Stakeholders Slam Dan Obo Jnr. Caution Against Hate Speech on Senator Eteng Jonah Williams

Political stakeholders in Obubra Local Government Area have issued a joint statement, strongly condemning Dan Obo  recent comments as hate-filled and divisive, and cautioning him to desist from incessant verbal attacks and baseless criticism against Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, emphasizing the need for respectful dialogue and constructive criticism in the political sphere.


According to the stakeholders, such utterances not only discredit the progress being made by Senator William's leadership in less than two years in office, but also threaten the unity and peace of the Cross River Central Senatorial District.


"We urge Dan Obo Jnr. to refrain from making inflammatory remarks and instead engage in constructive, issue-based discourse, recognizing Senator Eteng Jonah Williams' measurable commitment to development and the importance of supporting his efforts for the greater good."


The forum called on political actors to rise above personal grudges and respect democratic institutions, while urging Dan Obo to publicly retract his statements and commit to more responsible conduct moving forward.


Emphasizing that leadership must be respected and political ambition should not come at the cost of decorum, truth, and community harmony.
