Governor Bassey Otu's Special Adviser Appointed As Cross River State Coordinator For The Reserved Seats For women's Bill
The office of the APC National women Leader has confirmed the appointment of Hon Nkoyog Otu, as the Cross River State Coordinator for the Reserved seats for women's bill.
Dr Mary Alile ldele PhD, the National Woman Leader of APC, has appointed Hon Nkoyo Otu as the Cross River State cordinator for the Reserved seats for women Bill
Hon Nkoyo Otu until this appointment is an erudite political figure from Cross River State, a Special Adviser to the Executive Governor of Cross River State on Inter Party affairs. She's a renowned politician and a great mobilizer from Cross River State which has lead so many women groups.
Women's Reserved seats Bill:
A bill introduced in Nigeria to increase female representation in legislative bodies by creating additional seats exclusively for women. The bill has been part of ongoing constitutional review efforts to address the significant gender imbalance in Nigeria politics.
Dr Alile ldele PhD has been a strong advocate for this bill and has been active in holding town hall meetings and other events to raise awareness and support. The Bill is currently scheduled for its third reading in October 2025.
