This sad reality has become even more pronounced as the 2027 General Election gathers momentum. Battalions of political jobbers who are bereft of ideological depth, civic understanding, or historical awareness have been mobilized and sponsored by some key Political Figures from BENUE SOUTH to spread fake information across social media platforms and print outlets, orchestrating a calculated smear campaign to repudiate the Candidacy of the UNDISPUTABLE CHOICE OF BENUE SOUTH IN 2027 - Distinguished Senator Abba Moro (SAM)

Ochagwuba K' Edumoga ,

Iklaga K' Okpoga,

Odejor K' Ugbokolo,

Certain naive, Experimental Politicians and their hirelings in BENUE SOUTH thought, quite erroneously, that rhetorical acrobatics and deliberate distortion of facts could imperil the sterling reputation of Senator Abba Moro (SAM) whose political legacy is indelible and whose record of representation speaks eloquently for itself.

THE DEMAGOGUERY IN BENUE SOUTH 

History teaches us that when political discourse degenerates into sustained attacks on intellectuals and principled leaders, society itself suffers grievously.

Throughout history, the swiftest route to societal decay and anarchy has been the systematic discrediting of thinkers and reputable leaders, the vilification of intellectuals, and the intimidation of voices that articulate the collective interest of the people. Once this occurs, society stumbles blindly into crisis and retrogression. Pugilistic politics has been adopted as a norm by some clueless Politicians trying fruitlessly to manipulate voters; but such deceit will not thrive in BENUE SOUTH Senatorial District.

Politicians from BENUE SOUTH should stop the shameful scurrilous drivels being published on social media platforms and the Prints media by calling their 'Data Boys' to order and they must cease and desist from undermining Senator Abba Moro's mandate ahead of 2027.

Yes, we agree that Agonism is part of Politics but the deliberate attempt by desperate political opponents from BENUE SOUTH and other parts of BENUE State to fabricate and spew all manner of invectives and criminal allegations against the Person and Office of Distinguished Senator Abba Moro (SAM) in order to bury his legacies and political achievements through a tidal wave of opprobrium on social media platforms and the Prints outlets, is condemnable and totally unacceptable. 

The motives of these desperate Politicians and their 'Area Boys' support groups perpetrating this unlawful act is clear: to pitch Senator Abba Moro against the good people of BENUE SOUTH who freely entrusted him with their mandate.

The plot of the Detractors will not succeed because the good people of BENUE SOUTH know their Senator and they are solidly behind him anytime, anyday. Some readers may hastily conclude that this writer is a staunch loyalist of 

Senator Abba Moro. Permit me to disabuse such notions immediately. I have no direct or indirect affiliation with Senator Abba Moro (SAM). I have never met him, not even once. My position is neither transactional nor sentimental.

Rather, it is anchored on conviction, a firm belief in Senator Abba Moro’s demonstrable commitment to meaningful development in Idoma land and the wider BENUE SOUTH Senatorial District.

Moreover, I am from BENUE SOUTH Senatorial District and I want progress and prosperity for my people always.

FACTS THAT DEBUNK OPPONENTS' CLAIMS.

Democracy, as practiced in Nigeria, runs on numbers, not on propaganda or emotional revisionism. The 2023 Senatorial Election in BENUE SOUTH produced a clear and incontrovertible outcome:

Senator Abba Moro (SAM) secured the highest number of votes. No poetic lamentation.No emotional reframing. No desperate reinterpretation of arithmetic. That is the immutable fact. Elections reward structure, strategy, credibility, and grassroots presence. 

Senator Abba Moro brought all these political assets to the table. If his opponents miscalculated, fragmented itself, or pursued incoherent strategies, that brought failure on them, that has nothing to do with the legitimacy of the Distinguished Senator’s mandate.

Democracy respects results produced by sound political strategies not political mudslinging, noise making and cheap blackmail. Opponents must learn to submit to this elementary truth. Capacity is a Non-Negotiable Political Asset. Politics is not a palm-wine bar meeting where conviviality substitutes for competence. What some critics hastily label as “arrogance” which they attributed to Senator Abba Moro (SAM) is, in reality, the assured confidence of a statesman who has spent decades mastering the intricate art of politics, governance, negotiation, and constituency service. No one becomes a stabilizing force in national politics by blackmailing pioneers who have paid their dues over time.

Entrance into the political arena demands respect, clarity, conviction, and above all, the capacity to deliver. Noise is not a substitute for political strategy and experience.

Ultimately, zoning does not elect Senators. The people do. Political weight of a candidate is measured by existing structure, results, and credibility.

To choose a Senator that will effectively represent the people, Legislative visibility, infrastructural facilitation, federal linkages, grassroots reach, and institutional development remain the key decisive indices.

By any objective measure, Distinguished Senator Abba Moro (SAM) stands as the most operationally grounded and politically seasoned figure in BENUE SOUTH Senatorial district. Critics may shout from the sidelines, but shouting and noise making are not political strategies that count in an election. Noise does not translate into electoral victory.

The sustained outcry for zoning in BENUE SOUTH is just a veneer to conceal incompetence and lack of capacity on the part of some avowed opponents of Senator Abba Moro. Kakistocracy cannot thrive in BENUE SOUTH Senatorial District because our people are wise and smart and can never accept Machiavellianism as a style of politics

Unfortunately, desperate politicians in BENUE SOUTH thought mendacity or shameless obscenities through media publications can change the mind of voters. Well, that may be possible in other climes but definitely not in BENUE SOUTH Senatorial District. My people are wise and smart. They already know their choice for 2027: Senator Abba Moro (SAM). There is an unbroken Alliance with the People of BENUE SOUTH, from the 

Senate floor to community interventions, Senator Abba Moro has consistently served BENUE SOUTH with courage, focus, and humility. He has facilitated federal institutions, influenced national policies that uplift his constituents, and ensured that BENUE SOUTH remains visible in national development discourse. He carries no borrowed mandate. His mandate is validated by numbers, fortified by performance, and continually reinforced by the people themselves.
