Distribution Of Palliatives To Vulnerable Persons In Cross River continues As  Communities In Central Hail Ayade's gesture, apologize to Commissioner after hoodlums attack

The People of Ekpashi ward and Kakwagom have heaped praises on the Governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade for finding them worthy to be beneficiaries of the ongoing Palliative exercise in the state.

Speaking earlier, Clan head of Natamarte in Boki LGA, His Royal Majesty Chief Cosmos Owan Ofun, apologised to the Honorable Commissioner for Humanity and Social Welfare, Honorable Blessing Egbara and her Team on the Ugly incident which transpired between some members of the community and her Team during Her earlier visit.

According to him "I strongly condemn what happened last Sunday, I am not happy over it on behalf of my community I want to say we are very sorry and I promise such a thing will never happen in my area again and I want to thank His Excellency for having a sympathetic mind towards his people by sending all these palliatives to us, we appreciate it, He will live long".

He further expressed His profound Gratitude towards The Honorable Commissioner, saying "she is a caring mother, it's not easy. You discover that some people, when you send them to go and do a particular thing, they go on to do a wrong thing, the Commissioner has shown that she is indeed a caring mother, we appreciate her and we are happy with her"





In her response, the Commissioner, Honorable Blessing Egbara said "We are pleased to have concluded the distribution of palliatives to the remaining communities under Kakwagom and Ekpashi wards of Boki".

Speaking on the apology rendered to her, she said "on behalf of my team, I want to thank you very sincerely for finding time to be with us today, your apology is accepted. We decided to be here today because we know that whatever happened, it happened in your absence and without your knowledge.

"We know that you are in charge and the boys went beyond their boundary, we have forgiven them from the depth of our hearts, Boki is our home, Boki is my second home, Thank you very much Sir, God Bless you".

The ministry went on to distribute over 1,000 bags of palliatives to the Vulnerables, Widows and aged in the Communities under Kakwagom and Ekpashi wards.
