 Dr. Bassey Agara Tom Receives Obubra Unity Ambassador Award, Reaffirms His Administration's Commitment Towards Peaceful Coexistence

The Executive Chairman of Obubra Local Government Council, Hon. Bassey Agara Tom Ph.D has yesterday been presented with Obubra Unity Ambassador Award -- an award of excellence.

The award which was presented to the Chairman in his office by the Premium Entertainment Sport Limited in conjunction with the Obubra Unity Tournament, was said to be an emblem of honor to the Council boss for his excellent achievements and pursuit towards the unity and peaceful coexistence of the people of Obubra.           

Speaking during presentation of the award, Mr. Abraham Okpa Benson said the Chairman deserves such an award, especially for his contribution towards the success of the just concluded Obubra Unity Tournament (season 1), sport event which aimed at uniting the people of Obubra.

On her part, Mrs. Beatrice Akunjum said Hon. Dr Bassey Agara Tom has been a man of peace whose persistence in his quest for promoting peaceful coexistence in Obubra LGA has yielded an obvious result. Hence the  award. Mrs. Beatrice Akunjum reiterated that the award was to further encourage the Chairman to maintain the status quo, adding that his name has already been written in the sands of time.

The Chairman who appreciated the members of the Premium Entertainment Sport Limited for the award, said no society can develop without unity and peaceful coexistence of the people. He further added that his administration was ready to support anything that would foster unity and peaceful coexistence as that has always been his watchword.
