Nollywood: Northern Filmmakers Association Of Nigeria To Encourage Economic Growth Through Film

Northern Filmmakers Association of Nigeria (NFAN) makes giant strides to equipe Filmmakers and entertainers with strategies to encourage economic growth, especially within the North.


Chairman of NFAN, FCT Chapter, Mr. Smart Conrad, made this statement at the presentation of appointment letters to the Chapter's Executives over the weekend at Abuja .


Drawing from his enthusiastic speech, the Chairman said, Northern Filmmakers and entertainers are strategic to the development of the Nigeria film and entertainment industry, hence the need to restructure as well as channel the efforts of Filmmakers and entertainers towards activities that will encourage positive change and economic development within the North by taking advantage of the  limitless opportunities that comes with the profession.


He said the main objective of NFAN is to promote and encourage growth, build Bridges and create an atmosphere where every motion picture practitioner or entertainer within the North will benefit positively from the efforts they put into creating TV/online contents and other activities within the scope of the Nigeria film and entertainment industry.


The atmosphere within the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja is electrifying as the Chapter plans toward the launching of her maiden project which will be unveiled at the Chapter Inauguration coming up soon.


He calls on Filmmakers and entertainers within the North to join force with the Association to build a network that will promote and encourage the personal and collective growth of all her members.


To this end, Filmmakers and entertainers within Abuja are invited to join Northern Filmmakers Association of Nigeria through the FCT Chapter.
