2025 Leboku Festival in Abuja, Distinguished Senator Eteng Jonah Williams honored as life Patron.

The 2025 edition of the Leboku Festival in Abuja today, brought together sons and daughters of Yakurr Nation, friends, and cultural enthusiasts across Nigeria. This year’s celebration, with the theme “Kedei Sana, Leboku Jana, The Unity and Expansion of our Cultural Heritage,” highlighted the importance of cultural preservation, unity, and the promotion of indigenous traditions in modern society.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of a special award to Distinguished Senator Eteng Jonah Williams in recognition of his outstanding service, unwavering dedication, contributions to community development, and Leadership that has consistently reflected a strong commitment to cultural promotion, infrastructural advancement and the welfare of the people.
The award presentation was accompanied by colorful displays of traditional dances, music, and communal performances, which reflected the rich heritage of the Yakurr people.
Participants described the ceremony as both symbolic and unifying, emphasizing the relevance of Leboku in fostering peace, harmony, and cultural pride.
In his remarks, delivered on his behalf by Obol Omini Oden ACPA, FCAI, Senator Williams expressed gratitude for the honor conferred on him and reiterated his unwavering commitment to supporting initiatives that foster cultural heritage and drive community development.
The festival once again reinforced the significance of Leboku, not only as a cultural celebration but also as a platform for unity, identity, and expansion of shared values.
