Lady Refuses To Serve The Country Before Serving Her Husband, Looses Parent 8 Years After Graduation
Love, respect and sacrifice are the three words that define the extraordinary story of Victoria Eneji Ebahe, a native of Biaraghidi-ye in Bekwarra LGA of Cross River State, who finally joined the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) after waiting for eight years to ensure her husband establish himself fully in life
The lady who studied Accountancy from Fedei Polytechnic, Gboko, Benue state, graduated in 2017 from Fedel, Gboko and got married to her heartrob, JohnNuks Mfah, a Nollywood actor, director, lawyer, and CEO of JV Nuks Productions.
For Victoria, it wasn’t just about service to the nation. But about honor, solaridary and sacrifice. She chose to delay her service because she didn’t want to serve the nation before serving her husband.
" I felt it was disrespectful to serve the country before serving my husband. Afterall, charity they say begins at home.” she said.
Sadly, while waiting for her husband to establish, life threw her the hardest blow and she lost both parents, who never got the chance to witness their daughter in uniform.
Now a mother of three, with her husband being relatively stable, Victoria has finally agreed to serve the nation as she is currently at the NYSC camp in Wannune, Tarka LGA of Benue State. But this isn’t just about NYSC for her but an honour to her beloved husband and a heartfelt tribute to her parents who raised her, but never saw her fulfill this long-awaited dream.
This story reminds us of the fact that, sometimes, the road to destiny is long, painful and deeply personal but in the end, it is worth it.
